Ginger Weaver, Disaster Specialist at the American Red Cross was the speaker at the Post D monthly meeting in South Boston. Weaver discussed the many types of disasters that happen around the world and how the Red Cross quickly responds and they are the first on the scene coordinating the help of other disaster teams. She also discussed the many services of the American Red Cross, from the aid to our Service Men to the blood banks. Volunteers are a high percentage of the Red Cross work force.
